Procedure for applying for a Visa to enter Tunisia
If you are a national of the countries listed in the Table below, and your stay is to be less than 3 months, you do not need to apply for a Visa to enter Tunisia
If your stay is for more than three months or you are a National of another country NOT listed in the table, to visit Tunisia you need to deposit the following documents in the nearest Tunisian embassy:
- A duplicate form of visa application duly completed and signed (Download the form)
- Two copies of the passport (pages with identity and validity)
- Two copies of the residence permit for foreign nationals
- Two recent color identity photos
- Hotel reservation / travel program

Australian nationals, holders of ordinary passports, can obtain visas at Tunisian border crossings.
Nationals of countries of the former USSR (except Armenia), China, India, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, are exempt from visa entry formalities in Tunisia when they go there as part of an organized trip.
For nationals of the following European countries – France, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Switzerland – the national identity card allows the holder to enter Tunisia as part of an organized tourist trip.
In this case, the traveller must be provided with a reservation document (voucher) in a Tunisian hotel establishment and a return travel ticket to the departure destination.
